Daddy time in May

The ultimate multi-tasking dad.

Ty has gotten over the "I might break her" stage.

I'm pretty sure she knows who that is - the one wrapped around her little finger.

Bath, check. Dinner ... next.

Baby sized lounge chair.

I think she looks so old in this photo!

Sleepy time!

5/28/09

My friend Shauna got to burp Lucy when we visited the Biology Department on campus.

She is much happier after being fed and burped.

We went to lunch with Granny.

This baby certainly is a snuggler.

This picture is the embodiment of my mom. She is characterized by her love of children and diet sodas.

This picture reminds me of a seal balancing a ball on the end of its nose.

Memorial Day '09

This is Anthony and William. They helped with the BBQ on memorial day.

This is how she looks about 90% of the time.

Anthony had a fun time playing with her... but he tended to wake her up.

So did pawpaw. I left her alone with him for a while and they were both alive when I got back! Woo hoo!

Good friends

Our good friends came by and brought us dinner just after Lucy was born. I think it was just a plot to come play with the baby, but I don't blame them.
She really is so dang cute!

To quote Aaron, "She's so pretty," and "Her nose is so tiny."

This photo captures the essence of both Aaron and Bekkah.

I think that Aaron should marry Lucy because the age distance between the two of them is the same as the difference between Ty and I. Plus Aaron is so dang cute.

Meet the grandparents (Dad's folks)

Grandma Mary kept saying how awkward she felt holding a baby,
but I think she did a good job.

I think the Goose kind of liked her too!

Grandpa Dana was sure proud to earn that title.

Lucy was done taking photos. It's hard work being that cute.

This is her "No means No" face.

Ty's mom is supremely talented at all things craft. She made this wooden album for our sweet lady bug Lucy. Ty sure loves to show it off!

Her Mama Didn't Raise No Fool

Lucy had a tough first few days trying to use a pacifier. Her tongue kept launching it across the room. She finally figured out that she could hold it in. Sometimes she goes for the obvious open hand hold, other times she puts her fist in front of a corner. Either way, her mama didn't raise no fool!

coming home and bath

My doctor took his sweet time coming to discharge us. Instead of being impatient, Ty took a nap.

Lucy was glad to leave the land of needles and probes. Too bad she didn't know what home life would be like. :)

This is the outfit Aunt Raye got for her. Lucy was thrilled to pose for the camera. I think she gets that from Daddy.

Ty's chest is her second favorite place to be. We all know where her favorite is... the cafeteria.

I just couldn't resist taking this shot. They both had a long first night home.

Daddy bought her a killer lady bug that's just the right size.

Bath time started out as a traumatic experience.

Lucy takes a finger much better than a pacifier.

She seemed to really like the warm water. Things went better than I expected them to.

This cute little towel was made by a lady who goes to church with us - Debbie Coray.
