mechanically inclined

Lucy loves cords and wires. I like to think it's because her great grandpa is Woody. He was the most mechanically inclined man I know.

Gock gock!

We are lame. Our current church (decided by our geographic location) has really sucky activities. So, we decided to go to our old church's Halloween party.

Lucy really loved the cucumber and tomato salad that we brought, but it really irritated her face.

Mmmmm... she found a pixi stick under the table.

She kept pulling her hood off, so people couldn't really tell what she was.

I absolutely love the tights. AND I found a dress that is yellow with orange stripes that will match perfectly. Woohoo!

By the way, Lucy used to say "wack wack" for what a duck says, but now it is "gock gock." She also used to say "gan koo" for thank you, but that is also now "gock gock." I am now an expert at using context clues to figure out which meaning of those words she is using.

Wacky Quacky

I like it when Halloween falls on a weekend because you get to start celebrating the Friday before. At work, we all dressed in pajamas and I made Ty bring Lucy for everyone to see.

This is where Lucy discovered that daddy was using the camera. She loves to see the pictures right after you take them.

... and there she goes trying to see the pictures

diggin for worms

Lucy has discovered "outside." If I go to put something in the recycle bin or in the outside trash, she wants to be there too. Also, if you say "outside" she runs to the door.

I have been grilling a lot this fall, and Lucy will come play on the deck while I'm out there.

She discovered this hole in the wood and thinks it is so much fun!

Because we have to

We went to Oregon with my in-laws for a family reunion. They were so happy to see Lucy.

This was the first night in the hotel. She was so beat. You'd be surprised at how tiring it is to ride in a car seat for 8 hours.

Lucy wasn't entirely sure about all the people in attendance. And it scared her when they got too loud.

She managed to take about a 2 hour nap despite all the noise.

Dorita and her husband made the food. It was fantastic.
Their son, Sergio, said, "My dad makes real Mexican food because he's a real Mexican." So I asked if he made half-Mexican food because he's half Mexican. He replied that he's Californian. My bad.

Mamaw (far right) and her siblings.

Lucy's favorite relative was the dog. Sorry folks.

Miner

My mom has a head lamp to use for finding things when my dad is asleep in the room (he works nights). Lucy had so much fun with it. You can tell by the blur that she kept pretty busy.
